STOCKTON, Ca.  –  Jake Bollman’s winning summer continues as he scored the victory in Saturday night’s legend cars feature at Stockton 99 Speedway in Stockton, California.  Bollman, 16, has won races from California to North Carolina and is chasing the national championship in the pro division of the INEX Legend Cars.

Bollman and crew chief Donnie St. Ours have proven to be a potent combination wherever they run.  He qualified fastest by .027 of a second, but the track inverts the top six qualifiers for the start of the feature, so Jake would begin the 35-lap main from sixth place.

“I just worked my way up, little by little,” Bollman said after the race. “I got to second by lap 14 and I was able to grab the lead on a restart.  I just kept coaching myself to stay calm and be smooth.  I never got away by much and I had to survive a restart with three laps left, so it wasn’t easy.  I think we had about a three car-length gap at the checkered.  I owe so much of my success in these cars to Donnie St. Ours.  He always gives me a fast car and he’s taught me a lot over the years we’ve been together. Thank you also to my family, sponsors, and supporters.  I appreciate all of them so much.  We need a lot more of these wins if we’re going to win the national championship so every race is important.”

Jake Bollman Racing is grateful for all of the support provided by their sponsors, including LPG Transport, Pacific Coast Propane and PBS Plumbing.
